I’ve been teaching guitar for ten years and find it one of the most demanding and fulfilling aspects of my musical life.  I believe the guitar presents a particular challenge due to the fact that it plays such an important role in so many styles of music, and there are numerous valid ways to approach and utilize the instrument.  In my lessons I aim to respect the student’s personal musical tastes and aspirations while exposing him or her to a wide range of musical styles associated with our chosen instrument.  Lessons generally cover technique, improvisation, theory, reading and writing skills, ear-training, repertoire development, and other performance skills.

I’m currently teaching out of my studio in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

My rates are as follows:
1/2 hour lesson: $30
45 minutes: $35
1 hour: $40
1 hour group rate (three or more students): $20 per student
